Katharina has German and Sicilian roots and grew up in the culturally rich city of Berlin. The city’s diversity shaped her musical foundation, which she further developed during her high school years in Paris and her jazz studies in Barcelona, where she was taught by artists such as Pedro Javier Gonzalez, Victor de Diego, and Iñaki Sandoval. She now resides in vibrant Rotterdam, where she continues to refine her style and career.

From Pop Academy to Professional Artist

In 2010, Katharina graduated cum laude from the Pop Academy at the ArtEZ Conservatory, where she was coached by Shirma Rouse, Danny Sahupala, and Tjeerd Oosterhuis, among others. After graduating, she built a versatile career as a vocalist, backing singer, and performer. She gained national recognition with her vocal group Sharp from the TV show The Sing Off and performed for years with her energetic cover trio The Flavourettes. Her passion for Latin music also led to a lounge collaboration with Omega 3, resulting in the release of their first single in 2012.

More Than a Performer: Entrepreneur & Educator

Katharina combines her talent on stage with strong entrepreneurial skills. Supported by her minor in music management and her experience as a booker and PR professional, she earned her Master’s degree in Cultural Economics and Entrepreneurship from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2014. She also has extensive experience as a music teacher, working at music centre De Doelen and various music schools across the Netherlands.

Honest Music Rooted in Life Experience

Drawing from her international background, broad musical development, and years of stage experience, Katharina found inspiration for her debut album. Her songs are heartfelt stories about love, growth, and the many shades in between — music filled with emotion and meaning. They are written to be shared, both on stage and in everyday life.
